Fresh on the scene, Mockery Zero Proof, which opened in early January 2025, wants to redefine the way the Motor City sips, socializes, and celebrates—without a drop of alcohol. What began as a mobile non-alcoholic bar serving creative drinks at baby showers and birthday parties has blossomed into a modern brick-and-mortar destination. Founder Karlyta Williams, a lifelong Detroiter, believes that drinking should foster connection without clouding clarity. “We don’t have a clear mind when we’re drinking alcohol,” says Williams. To that end, she’s stocked the shelves with everything you need to craft alcohol-free cocktails, including elegant glassware. “You deserve a cocktail that goes inside of a beautiful glass,” Williams says. Mockery leans into wellness, too, with an array of feel-good extras, like candles and incense, and special events such as sound bowl journeys.
